General Terms of Competition
English Translation
- Participation at Own Risk:
Each participant competes at their own risk. By paying the registration fee and signing the registration form, the participant confirms that they agree to the terms and conditions and competes at their own responsibility (for minors, this responsibility is assumed by their parents or guardians, who sign the form). - Registration Form Signature:
Registration forms will be signed when collecting bib numbers at the registration desk. - Physical Preparedness:
Participants must be in good physical condition. - Weather Conditions:
The competition will take place in all weather conditions, except when the safety of participants may be at risk. In such cases, the organizer reserves the right to alter the route or cancel the event. - Age Restrictions:
Participants under 18 years old are not allowed to compete in the 64 km and 100 km categories due to the demanding nature of these routes. - Route Markings and Safety Measures:
The route will be well-marked every 50–200 m with ribbons, signs, flags, and road markings. Medical assistance and mountain rescue services will be available on the course. Marshals will also be present at key points to guide runners and ensure their safety. - Liability Disclaimer:
The organizer is not responsible for any consequences resulting from injuries or damages caused by participants to themselves, fellow competitors, or third parties. - Voluntary Withdrawal:
Participants may voluntarily withdraw from the race at checkpoints. In such cases, they must immediately inform the organizer using the contact information on their bib number. - Assistance:
Any external assistance between aid stations is prohibited. - Damage to Equipment:
The organizer is not responsible for any damage to participants’ equipment. - Route Issues:
If route markings are missing or unclear, participants must report this at the nearest checkpoint. - Mandatory Equipment:
All participants must carry the required equipment throughout the race. - Use of Poles:
If participants choose to use trekking poles, they must carry them for the entire race. Partial use of poles is not permitted. - Sticking to the Route:
Participants must follow the designated route. Any shortcuts or deviations will result in disqualification. If no route markings are visible for over 200 m, participants must return to the last visible marking and reevaluate their options. - Organizer’s Rights:
The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the rules, which will be communicated to participants in advance. - Participant Consent:
By registering, participants confirm they are aware of the competition rules and that they participate at their own risk, fully understanding the risks associated with such events. - Legal Disclaimer:
By signing the registration form, participants agree not to hold the organizer liable for injuries, damage, or theft of equipment before, during, or after the event.
Regulations on Doping
- The use of doping is strictly prohibited. The organizer may conduct testing if deemed necessary.
Participant Benefits
Participants of the 11 km, 17 km, 35 km, 64 km, and 108 km races will receive:
- Various food and drinks at aid stations every 10–17 km.
- A starter pack.
- A hot meal at the finish line.
- Finish-line bags for the 64 km and 108 km categories, and transition bags for 108 km.
- Showers at the finish area.
- A commemorative medal upon finishing.
- Medical assistance and mountain rescue services on the course and at the finish line.
- Transportation for participants withdrawing at checkpoints to the finish area.
- Personalized bib numbers with RFID chips and GPS tracking (for 108 km).
- Timing, intermediate times, live tracking, and live results.
Penalties and Disqualification
- Deviating from the marked route or taking shortcuts will result in immediate disqualification.
- Lack of mandatory equipment will result in disqualification.
- Littering will lead to immediate disqualification.
- Unsportsmanlike conduct, such as insulting organizers or volunteers, is prohibited.

- Running backpack (MANDATORY FOR 35, 64 and 108 KM)
- Reserve food and drink for the time between refreshments (1L)*
- Own pot for drinks (15 cl minimum)
- Astro foil (1.40 x 2.0 m minimum)*
- Hooded jacket*
- Whistle*
- Mobile phone (full battery)*
- Basic First Aid*
- Hat/scarf and gloves**
- Headlight***

!COLLECTION OF BIB NUMBER WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT PRIOR INSPECTION OF MANDATORY EQUIPMENT!
- The mandatory equipment check will also take place at one of the refreshment stations on the route, all runners, without exception, will be immediately disqualified if they do not have the mandatory equipment.

RETURN AND CHANGES
Cancellation of registration must be done by e-mail to info@obalaultratrail.si, refunds are only possible with a valid medical certificate, 10-20 euros of administrative costs are deducted from the refund, but only till 1st Oktober.
Transfer of BIB numbers between competitors and changes of distances can be done free of charge until 31.09.2025, from 01.10.2025 the transfer service or change of route will be charged at 14.00 EUR, and exclusively with the written permission of the owner of the BIB number!
Note the following: Refunds are no longer possible after October 1st, regardless of the reason why the runner does not participate in the competition, the start package belongs to him (must be collected between race day, after event it is not possible to get your goodie bag any more. ).
Passing between competitions on different routes is possible until 30.10. 2025.
After 30/10/2025, registrations are closed and subsequent changes are no longer possible!
CANCELLATION OF THE EVENT IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY
The organizer undertakes to reimburse the entry fee in case of prohibition / inability to perform the event due to emergency (COVID) or force majeure:
Cancellation of the event up to 2 months before the event, a 70% refund of the entry fee and a 10% discount in the following year, or transfer of the entry fee to the following year, 2026.
Cancellation of the event up to 21 days before the event, a 60% refund of the entry fee and a 15% discount in the following year, or transfer of the entry fee to the following year, 2026.
Cancellation of the event less than 21 days before the event – no refunds, all entry fees are carried over to the next year 2026.
OTHER
The starting number must be affixed to the front of the body, to the shirt or belt.
Own drinking pot. There will be no plastic pots at the stations, so each runner must have his/her own.
Hooded jacket, the jacket must have a hood and be made of waterproof material (17, 35, 64 and 108 km), for 17 and 35 race is depend the weather conditions….
Basic first aid kit. The first aid kit must contain at least 1-2 gauzes, 1 elastic bandage and a patch pack.
Competitors agree to the use of photo and video footage taken at the event for promotional purposes by the organizer.
The organizer is not responsible for the consequences that a competitor inflicts on him-/herself, his/her teammate or a third party.
By registering in the online application form and paying the registration fee, a competitor confirms that he/she agrees to the terms of the announced trails and that he/she competes at his/her own risk. For registrations at the venue on the day of the event, a competitor signs an application form confirming his/her acceptance of the registration conditions and the competing at his/her own risk.
The competitor agrees to be aware of the personal health condition that the organizer does not take any responsibility for any health problems that may arise during the event due to negligence on the part of the competitor.
